It’s bookfair time again! This Friday the 25th of September we will have a stall (our stall at this year's London Anarchist Bookfair it number 13 in The Studio on Floor 4 at Rich Mix, 35-47 Bethnal Green Road, London, E1 6LA), so come find us to pick up some flyers and chat about organising in the workplace. We will be on floor 4 at Rich Mix from 10pm. For more detail about the bookfair see here. Also remember that the Red and Black club will be running as usual the night before, more info here.

The London Anarchist Bookfair will be taking place on the 20th of September and Solidarity Federation will be running a stall, so come along and have a chat and grab some literature. The stalls will be at Leake Street Arches, Waterloo, SE1 7NN, with the stalls being up from 10am. Workshops will be held at 26 Leake Street.

Manchester SolFed out leafleting for the Manchester and Salford Anarchist Book Fair this Saturday 7th December at the People's History Museum 10.00 to 1600

For the third year, Liverpool-SolFed will be at Liverpool Anarchist Bookfair. This Saturday, the 13th of April.

We will be having our stall for anarcho-syndicalist literature, information about our campaigns and activity and materials for collective resistance and struggle.

We will also be running a workshop presented by a comrade from Manchester-SolFed:

Don't forget next Saturday, December 2nd the Manchester & Salford Anarchist Bookfair will be taking place. As well as book stalls there will be number of talks taking place on a wide range of subjects. In the evening there will be social with several bands appearing.

Manchester SF will be doing a talk on 21st Century Anarcho-Syndicalism

Another year, another book fair. We had the usual material with the usual positive responses. We distributed workers' and tenants' rights material to help give people the tools and knowledge to fight back for what we are entitled to.

The classic Abolish Restaurant’s zine was a favourite among many, alongside Bundschuhconspiracy’s t-shirts.

SolFed also took part in the ‘What do we mean by direct action?’ workshop alongside Haringey Housing Action Group and Edinburgh Coalition Against Poverty. There were true similarities between the different groups supporting members and individuals, trying to collectivise and empower people whilst raising class-consciousness. The meeting came to a close with a sincere, inspirational account from a Haringey Housing Action Group member who retold her experience of solidarity from the group and how it is only when we stand together we can fight back and build a true community with mutual support.

This year's Bristol Anarchist Bookfair is looking at "Building an anarchist future". As part of this dialogue Bristol SF will be hosting a workshop on:

What can we learn from recent NHS struggles that could help shape a health service based not on some golden age that never was but instead on the principles of direct democracy and mutual aid? How can we provide progressive healthcare without the bureaucrats and the bosses?

Here is how Bookfair Collective hope that the workshops and meetings with develop the theme of "Building an anarchist future".

This year Bristol SF are participating in two workshops.

At 1.00pm, in Marquee Z, we will introduce "State Repression in Spain". This talk will be hosted by a Spanish comrade. Below is an short introductory text to set the background of this talk.

During the last four years Spanish society has witnessed a period of intense social protests against austerity, corruption, evictions, unemployment and so on. The greater and more radicalised the protest the bigger the state repression. The intensification of demonstrations and actions has resulted in an escalation of detentions and absurd fines. Every form of protest is now a new article in the criminal code.
