It’s bookfair time again! This Friday the 25th of September we will have a stall (our stall at this year's London Anarchist Bookfair it number 13 in The Studio on Floor 4 at Rich Mix, 35-47 Bethnal Green Road, London, E1 6LA), so come find us to pick up some flyers and chat about organising in the workplace. Well, well, well, just when you think society cannot become more debased, news comes along that Laura Johnson has been appointed permanent Director of Development and Property at the Barnet Group, which manages the borough's 13,000 council homes. This is the same Laura Johnson who, as Director of Housing at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, played a principal role in the cost-cutting that led to the Grenfell fire.

There will be two linked actions happening on the 26th of October. First, there is a call-out to all workers in the London and surrounding areas to help extend solidarity with members of the UVW during upcoming strike. Over 70, mainly migrant, security guards who are UVW members and employed by Wilson James across the Natural History and Science Museums have returned an overwhelming vote (96%) in favour of strike action following a recent ballot.
