IWA statement regarding the struggle of our Spanish sister section against the closure of a factory owned by Ford-Visteon. (please find aposter attached to this post)
With reference to initiatives taken by the CNT union section at Cadiz Electrónica S.A. Ford-Visteon and the CNT of Jerez, there will be a new International Day of Struggle against Ford-Visteon on October 14.
As you see from other articles on this website, the company has announced that it will close the plant of 450 workers. On June 23 the management of Cadiz Electronica SA company, located in the TecnoBahía business park in El Puerto de Santa María, Cadiz, Spain, announced the final closure of the workplace to the Works Council, through a displaced representative. The CNT workers says that the conflict, despite the days which have passed, remains open:
"The company has formally presented the Plan to Terminate the Contracts with the Labour Office, a plan affecting the entire workforce. At the moment, and despite earning important support of the staff, which wanted the union section to be present at the negotiating table, the works council, composed mostly of the CC.OO and the company refused.
The mood among the workers at present remains high, hopeful and confident that the struggle will prevent the closure of the plant. Therefore, the CNT union section, after a more than satisfactory day of fighting the last August 19, asks for your solidarity and involvement again in a new International Day of Action on October 14, organizing as many rallies and events as possible, and above all places where FORD AND VISTEON multinationals have their business".
The text which is proposed, or one that you consider relevant, could be as follows;
"NO TO THE CLOSURE AND DESTRUCTION OF JOBS AT CADIZ ELECTRONICA
SA, BELONGING TO THE VISTEON-FORD GROUP LOCATED IN TECNOBAHIA
INDUSTRIAL PARK IN EL PUERTO DE SANTA MARIA, CADIZ.
ENOUGH RELOCATIONS OF COMPANIES!
WE SUPPORT THE VISTEON WORKERS FIGHT FOR A DECENT FUTURE!!"
The workers need all the support they can get in their fight against the closure of and the destruction of the employment at the Cadiz Electrónica S.A.

¡Nuevo Día Internacional de Acciones contra Ford-Visteon el 14 de octubre!
Con relación a las iniciativas tomadas por la sección sindical de CNT en Cádiz Electrónica SA Ford-Visteon y la CNT de Jerez, habrá un nuevo Día Internacional de Lucha contra Ford-Visteon el 14 de octubre.
Como veréis por otros artículos de este sitio web, la empresa ha anunciado que cerrará la planta de 450 trabajadores. El 23 de junio, la dirección de la empresa Cádiz Electrónica SA, situada en el parque empresarial TecnoBahía del Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz, España, anunció el cierre final del centro de trabajo al Comité de Empresa, a través de un representante desplazado. Los trabajadores de la CNT dicen que el conflicto, a pesar de los días transcurridos, continúa abierto:
”La empresa ha presentado formalmente el Plan para Cancelar los Contratos con la Oficina de Empleo, un plan que afecta a toda la plantilla. En estos momentos, y a pesar de obtener un respaldo importante de la plantilla para que la sección sindical en la empresa estuviera presente en la mesa de negociación, el comité de empresa, mayoritariamente compuesto por CC.OO. se han negado junto con la empresa.
El ánimo entre los trabajadores/as en estos momentos sigue siendo alto, esperanzados y confiados en que mediante la lucha se consiga impedir el cierre de la planta, es por ello, que desde la sección sindical de CNT - después del más que aceptable día de lucha del pasado 19 de Agosto- os pidamos nuevamente vuestra solidaridad e implicación en un nuevo día de lucha internacional para el 14 de Octubre, realizando cuantas concentraciones y actos puedan realizarse, y sobre todo, de los que tengáis en vuestras localidades y cerca de ella intereses de la multinacional VISTEON Y FORD”.
El texto propuesto, u otro que consideréis pertinente podría ser el siguiente:
"NO AL CIERRE Y LA DESTRUCCIÓN DE EMPLEO DE “CÁDIZ ELECTRONICA
S.A.” PERTENECIENTE AL GRUPO VISTEON-FORD UBICADO EN EL POLIGONO
INDUSTRIAL TECNOBAHIA DEL EL PUERTO DE SANTA MARIA, CÁDIZ.
¡BASTA DE DESLOCALIZACIONES DE EMPRESAS!
¡¡APOYAMOS LA LUCHA DE LOS TRABAJADORES DE VISTEON POR UN FUTURO DIGNO!!”
Los trabajadores necesitan todo el apoyo que puedan conseguir en su lucha contra el cierre y la destrucción de empleo en Cádiz Electrónica SA
¡Movilízate y lucha –por la solidaridad internacional!
