1. Personal reports
Butterflea: Grievance hearing didn’t seem to get very far, ET has accepted claim, Strike end of October will be campus-wide, got hold of 1,000 QM leaflets and managed to get rid of a fair few, will be flyering again tomorrow at 12pm. Scale 4s tried to sort themselves out and made things worse, lots of people angry and saying we need to stick together.
Go: New job, no-one unhappy atm.
Bill: Still looking. Soon to be a kung fu genius.
Rob: Nowt much going on
Jock: Lacking drivers because of job cuts so people having to absorb extra vanload, job and finish is working against us. Can’t put in a proper grievance because it takes ages, union not of much use.
Sharkfinn: Went to SUF summer camp and was struck by good gender balance, but lack of class struggle element was frustrating, had to break in on it a bit and push industrial organising ideas. Anti-cuts group is starting to form at City uni
Cantdo: Kids’ discipline is a mess! Starting to make contacts around, local SPer is knocking about.
Jerome: Half charges have been dropped and hopeful that can beat it on procedural breach. Branch meeting at Unison has been pretty good, has taken on job-shared shop steward position, will have four reps to strategise with. Visteon Trots are completely nuts.

4. Student Demo Nov 9th (Wednesday)
Cantdo went to NCAFC meeting discussed feeder marches from places like Hackney Community college and flyering, organising meet in early Oct. Meeting tomorrow at Cock Tavern 7.30pm (NW1) with a more anarchist bent. Unbranded leaflet mooted at anti-cuts forum, bill’s also brought up. Bill to liase with South London to stump up a bit of cash for his version, enquire abut run of 1-2,000. Ask Nick/Bonnie to print some out and we’ll swap?
5. Finance
We’re rapidly running down funds and need more money. Lots of ideas. Food at bookfair, raffle (butterflea), get speakers to bring stuff to sell at our meetings? (Jerome USI mug, Fernando CNT T-shirts Film night. Grizzle to ask no1 to put a paypal button on for North London. People with ideas can you come up with plans so they can just get done? Saves discussion time on details in meetings.
6. LEWN
Reschedule, Cantdo and Jerome to sort on list.
Design training: Evenings preferred, Rob to look at dates (probably after bookfair)
7. Flyering at Queen Mary’s
Meeting at 12pm tomorrow, don’t need any more flyers, after that relatively easy to do whenever, up til 4pm on weekdays is best. Jock to find out day off to do a big flyering thing.
8. Introduction for interested non-members
Rob has had a fair bit of interest, to set a date.

Jerome and cantdo to sort out pizza social.

Stay at 7.30pm but START at 7.30pm and people should bring agenda points in early. Aim for get here early people!

12. Bookfair
Pricing: Jock to bring in pamphlets to next meeting to be done as we talk. Advertising: Jerome to get bunch of organiser training leaflets printed out from organiser training fund. Cantdo to put office angels proposal online. Jock to ask about travel costs from Portugal. Fingers to translate for Go. Other speakers will have to be via Skype: Jerome to ask Matti, Tony and Laura, also people generally to chase up IWA contacts. Cantdo to organise shifts for bookfair table. Jock may not be able to bring stuff over, butterflea to pick up earlier in week. Cantdo to chase Maj on behalf of NLSF for T-Shirts.
13. COB member facing jail
Jock to co-ordinate with Go, Tony and Carlos or Jose to sort out sending solidarity statement.
14. Catalyst
Una needs brief from collective to do something on Queen Mary. Bill to contact Tom about getting dimensions, text, pictures, fonts, X-refs for a page and then send back as PDF for checks. Can Fingers’ electrician demo reports be worked up into something?
15. Pensions Strike November 30th
Jerome to chase up a bit and cantdo to ask on list about posters.
