Red and Black Club is back!

Red and Black ClubCome to the London Action Resource Centre (LARC), 61 Fieldgate Street E1 1ES, for the first of what will be a monthly social and fundraiser. From 8pm until midnight you can meet up with other anarchists for a chill time to chat, gripe, and possibly even plot.

The first Red and Black Club will be Friday the 27th of March and will be the last Friday of the month going forward. We do not have an alcohol license so none will be sold in LARC, but feel free to bring your own booze. Suggested donation of £10 on the door, but no one will be turned away for lack of money. Half of this will go to LARC to keep the space running and half will got a new zine called Anarchy which we hope to distribute for free.

Reading Group 19 – Resistance in the Workplace

Reading Group 19 – Resistance in the WorkplaceFor out 19th reading group we will be doing something a little different; instead of reading a book we will be reading a set of articles suggested by different members of the reading group.

The articles chosen have been deliberately selected to give differing and conflicting perspectives on organising and resisting in the workplace in order to provoke discussion on the topic.

The articles we are reading will be:

London - Hospitality Organising Meeting

We are the Solidarity Federation, a network of local groups who want to take action against bosses, landlords  and capitalism.

We want to talk to you about ways you can organise at work that can actually get results, whether the problem is dodgy contracts, missed breaks, pay, or if your boss is a wanker. We believe that organised workers taking action into their own hands is what's needed, not just having to leave your job, having to take it, or going through a big bureaucratic union or HR department.

Come along to talk to organisers from SolFed and connect with local workers to discuss issues that face us at work and in the community and what we can do about it.

Transphobic networks in the workplace

In mid 2025 it came to the attention of Solidarity Federation (SolFed) in London that transphobes were organising in the workplace under the banner of the Sex, Equality, and Equity Network (SEEN). A brief look at SEEN made it clear that this network was “gender critical”, or transphobic, but attempting to hide it behind a mask of fake feminism and liberal civility. London SolFed did some additional research into SEEN and produced a report for the wider federation in November 2025. This is a lightly edited version of that report for wider consumption.

The Solidarity Federation is an anarcho-syndicalist union, a means for people seeking to improve our lives to organise in our workplaces and communities. SolFed brings together people in all occupations regardless of industry, sector or trade – whether we’re employed or not.

SolFed seeks the abolition of capitalism and the institutions of power that are associated with it, such as the state. Our goal is to create a society centred on needs rather than profit, based upon the principle ‘from each according to ability, to each according to need’.

We believe in the principle of direct action – that means doing something for ourselves and not expecting leaders or representatives to act on our behalf.

SolFed members organise ourselves in a federation of local unions; in education we are in the Solidarity Federation Education Union (SFEU) and our members in hospitality are in the Solidarity Federation Hospitality Workers Union (SFHWU)
