We will be starting a regular monthly drop in session from this month. Need advice about an issue with your boss or landlord? Want support organising in your workplace or community? For our fourteenth reading group we will be reading Anarchy Works by Peter Gelderloos. From the blurb:

No-one will doubt that Higher Education is undergoing one of its historic, but it has to be acknowledged, repeated crises. With a drop in international students by some 16% and with approximately 40% of HEIs (Higher Education Institutions) thought to be likely to go into deficit in 2025-2026, university management teams are cutting universities to the bone. Departments supposedly under review face rapid closure or down-sizing, staff in academic support roles have had their positions slashed and whole programmes are disappearing.

The News From Nowhere Club is hosting a panel of representatives from various left wing political parties & groups to give a short introduction of their competing visions of politics. After these introductions, members of the panel will answer questions from the audience. This will involve speakers from across the left, both radical and mainstream, and a member of the London group of the Solidarity Federation will be part of the panel. Come along for what is likely to be a lively discussion on what the future might look like and how best to get there.
