We are the London section of the Solidarity Federation (SolFed), a revolutionary union initiative.

We are Anti-Capitalist because we believe that the current structure of ownership, where a minority of rich capitalists own the majority of the wealth of society, can only lead to the exploitation and oppression of everyone else. We are Revolutionary because we believe that only the abolition of capitalism will lead to freedom. We want to replace capitalism with Socialism, where workers control their own workplaces and communities control their own infrastructure.

However, unlike many other socialists, we are also Anti-State because we believe that the state is just as likely to exploit and oppress workers and communities as capitalists and must also be abolished. We are Anarchists who believe that all forms of rulership and obedience are harmful, and that both our movements in there here and now and any future socialist society must be built from the Bottom Up on the basis of free association and mutual agreement.

We believe the Workplace is where we are forced to produce all the material, power, and profit that both keeps society running and keeps our rulers rich and powerful. We are Syndicalists who believe in building organisations in the workplace that can one day take over the entire economy and abolish both the state and capitalism. We believe that Direct Action like strikes, slow downs, blockades, and other disobedience are the best way to fight for positive change.

We are also Anti-Hate because we believe that sexism, racism, transphobia, and other bigotries only weaken the ability of those at the bottom of society to defend themselves from those at the top. We want to unify the Working Class across lines of gender, sexuality, race, culture, legal status, and other divisions on the basis of mutual Solidarity and use our collective power to overthrow the rich and powerful and build a world where everyone is free from exploitation and oppression.

ANARCHISM

Anarchy is a scary word. It is associated with chaos, violence, and disorder. However, the word anarchy simply means without (an) rulers (archy).

TWO IDEAS OF SOCIALISM

Today socialism is mostly associated with social democratic political parties like Labour or totalitarian states like North Korea.

A BLEAK FUTURE

The trade union movement has been extremely important in furthering the desires of workers and improving our living conditions. This movement was vital in raising many workers out of the gruelling fourteen hour days, unsafe working conditions, poverty pay, and general degradation of the industrial revolution.

THE RIGHT TO PROTEST

The right to protest is a key right within our political system, and the suppression of protest is a sign that a government has become oppressive and authoritarian.
